Shade is a graphic novel in three parts that might be well described as Star Wars meets 300. The story takes place on a desert planet that orbits a dying star. The denizens of this world are forced to fight amongst themselves constantly in order to survive.

Part Two picks up immediately following the end of Part One. Mathos leads an expedition alongside Jocabo, Djantu, and others, in search of a rumored promised land to the south. Their story picks up en route, where the passengers and crew grapple with the unknown and each other.
